More victims of information-criminalization policy

Relating to the recent arrests of author Philip Luty and his website’s visitors, the accounts of this wave of unhinged thuggery are coming out:

forum.prisonplanet.com

First please read Musket Mike’s article which explains what I was caught up in:

http://www.ncc-1776.org/tle2010/tle551-20100103-03.html

Dear Sir / Madam or Mr.Luty (if you get a chance to answer this yourself),

I’d just like to let you know that I read the article on the link by Musket Mike & I’d like to let you know that I was one of the 50 people who downloaded the book and ended up being raided.

My story has a bit more punch as they did this one day before I was due in operating theatre for open heart surgery. I ended up spending the afternoon before I went under the knife in a stinking police cell, all because they found (in my loft where I was keeping them for storage but they tried to put into my mouth that I was trying to hide them there) a BB gun, 2 legal to have old blank firers that I’ve had for 15 years and an old antique decommissioned rifle that I was keeping for my Dad (made in 1867). I now have had all these items returned, as they are perfectly legal to own and don’t require firearm certificates and subsequently have also had all ‘firearms’ charges dropped.

If you get your site back up, I would love to write up a full account of my experience for you and I’d be delighted if you were to post it on there somewhere.

All the best,

crutley.

hi new to this site, but just thourt i’d let you know that ive just been raided by the anti terrorist division on tuesday there warrent to enter and search premises for eveidence of an indictable offence:

The documentation will inculude internet manuals and publications relating any such activitys. any other materials used for the production of firearms. Vehicals present at the property that are included in the warrant information.

P.A.Lutys name was mentioned and the document that i downloaded from his website on ammunition was mentioned that i downloaded 4 years ago. These guys came with a moblie laboratory, forensics, detectives, police the lot. they were there at my home for six and a half hours riping the place apart. they confiscated my laptop and two books one by p.a.luty , they wanted a lot more!! but i said no, freedom of speach all the way and i intend to get my books back.I wont lie i s**t my pants even though i have done nothing wrong.
Beware big brother is watching you!!!

People, I can’t stress how serious this situation is. Totalitarianism is literally speeding over the horizon.

It just so happens that this article greeted me when opening up Google just seconds ago:

Police unit set up to combat terrorist websites

What they don’t tell you is that literature on firearms is also considered to be useful to terrorists. Would I be overly speculative if I were to suggest there is probably a lot more that’s going to meet this vague enforcement policy?

Some of you may have heard of the recent arrest of British author P.A Luty, this time under the all so convenient guise of ‘anti-terrorism’, namely “making a record of information likely to be of assistance to terrorists”.

Well, more news has come to light folks – and it’s not good.

A story from England:

At 2.15 pm on 5/20/09 the author of the Expedient Homemade Firearms books, Philip A.Luty was arrested at gunpoint by the British “North East Counter Terrorism Unit” (NECTU). Philip is the well known author of Expedient Homemade Firearms—The 9mm machine gun. [Buy at Amazon.com]

Numerous other books and information on building improvised firearms were available on Philip’s website http://www.thehomegunsmith.com. The website has, I am told, been temporarily closed until security measures can be put in place to prevent British police from tracing and visiting those who downloaded publications from the site. More on this chilling development later. Following Philip Luty’s arrest he was held in a London prison for over nine weeks before obtaining bail. This is the second time Philip has been arrested and questioned by British police over the books he writes and sells via his website. No, Philip Luty is not a terrorist, nor does he have any links to terrorists, but it seems that in the UK today the British police are not just happy with obtaining a ban on most types of legal firearms but also want a ban on any publication that shows how to build a firearm and/or ammunition. Hence the quite unbelievable persecution of those who sell firearms related publications.

As I said earlier this is the second time Philip has been arrested and questioned. In 2005 he was arrested and questioned over his books and website. At that time the British “Crown Prosecution Service” (CPS) took no further action and the case against Philip collapsed. Undeterred by this failure, the police waited another three years and then charged him under the UK Terrorism Act 2000. The wording of the charges is that Philip “MADE A RECORD OF INFORMATION THAT COULD ASSIST TERRORISTS”. No folks, I am not joking. In the UK British police are now trying to create a link between those who commit terrorist acts and those who write gunsmithing publications. Oh yes, I mentioned above a “chilling development”. That is putting it mildly. It turns out that at the same time that Philip was arrested the British police (Gestapo?) paid a visit to over fifty other people across the UK who had downloaded books from Philip’s website.

Reading information is no longer neutral absorption of knowledge – It’s now terrorism. To say the least, this a serious attack on our basic freedoms as human beings. Friends, things are deadly serious and if no one stands up to this, we’re going to continue along this road until we join the ranks of North Korea or China.

I implore everyone to aggressively download all of Phillip’s books. Show these jackbooted, cowardly pieces of putrid trash that you will not be intimidated into bowing down to their tyranny.

Justice in the UK

Posted this over at LPUK.

Couple fleeing attack prosecuted over firearms

After suffering two brutal attacks in their home in Bulgaria, an elderly British couple took it upon themselves to take responsibility for their own means of protection. Whilst still living in Bulgaria, the couple purchased several legal self defense tear gas guns, of which fire cartridges designed to disperse an irritant gas towards an attacker. Since a police officer can’t be carried in a pocket or stored in one’s home, this seems like a viable means of thwarting another attack in future, correct?

Whether they accidently shipped them back in their luggage, or simply saw no further use is uknown. All that’s stated is that upon returning to the UK, the couple decided to hand the devices over to the police.

Now, thanks to a few of this totalitarian government’s recent knee jerk decisions , they both now face a minimum 5 year jail sentence for possession of an illegal ‘firearm’. A great victory for the Met, who whined and begged for this to be implimented.:

Another case, involving a son honoring his terminally ill farther’s decision to end his own life, saw him sentenced to 3 years for transfering a WWII era Walther PPK into the hospital where he lay dying.

When will people catch on and realise that mandatory sentencing is completely and utterly batdropping insane and a bedraggled mockery of the term ‘justice’?.

Now, if only these people could get it into their thick, barnacle encrusted skulls that not everyone who is unlucky enough to be caught in possession a firearm is a psychopathic murderer, deserving of extreme jail sentences.

The Metropolitan Police is alarmed by the number of firearms being carried and used on the streets of London. New figures show that, in the past three months, the number of reported incidents involving guns to which police have sent armed officers has risen by more than a third – to 4,106 – compared with the same period last year.

So, guns are good enough for police to have, but should you dare to own one for frontline, immediate defense of yourself and your loved ones, you’re deserving of five years at minimum locked in a stinking cage with rapists, theives and murders.

If a women in this country pulled a handgun on a rapist in her own home, she’d get a minimum 5 year jail term for possessing a prohibited firearm. Meanwhile, the rapist would most likely be looked upon as a victim and probably awarded free viagra on the NHS.

This government is completely vile.

—— Taking into account the above, get ready for the wacky world of UK justice! ——

Three-and-a-half years for robbing multiple victims at knife point

Six years for smashing a women round the head then proceeding to commit rape

Three years for robbing and threatening to beat a shop owner:

We know what’s best for you.

Politicians decide yet again what you should and shouldn’t be allowed to put inside your own body. Yes, it seems that the scourge of ‘legal highs’ plaguing our streets has prompted the government to enact more prohibition. Now, you’re probably wondering what might have been the catylist prompting the sudden decision to criminalize thousands of fellow human beings. In full horror, the shocking details are brought forth.

Three drugs that produce so-called “legal highs” are to be banned at the end of the year after at least two deaths were linked to their use, the home secretary said today.

Hester Stewart, a 21-year-old medical student, died after taking GBL, which can kill when combined with alcohol, in April.

Last year, Daniel Backhouse, a 22-year-old mortgage broker, suffered heart failure after mixing BZP with powdered ecstasy.

Two deaths. Yes, two. Two deaths that just so happen to be directly linked to the MIXING OF ALCOHOL AND ESCTASY, the latter already being highly illegal (Did that even matter in this case?).

But that isn’t important, little obedient TV-watching consumer sheep.

“The government will also ban several anabolic steroids, which are used by bodybuilders and have been linked to extreme anger known as “rhoid rage”, fertility problems and stunted growth.”

And these ‘possible’ side effects justify making the users into criminals, coerced at the barrel of a gun? You’d think these people were talking about Satan’s piss or something.

Deputy Mahy said Spice was a particular cause for concern.

‘Spice is causing alarm to the medical profession,’ he said. ‘These drugs are affecting people’s emotional and physical state and can be quite dangerous when mixed with alcohol.’

He said it would be in the island’s interests to ban legal highs.

So, how do we go about protecting these fragile people’s emotional states of mind? We turn them into criminals and make them face years locked in prison. Meanwhile, backstreet pharmacists have another couple of goodies to sell at any price they choose, spiked with anything they wish.

These meddling, freedom hating piles of slime can’t be gotten rid off fast enough. They’re like some sort of perpetually persistant flesh eating virus, stoppable only by burning off the infected areas.

Government to licence sale of ‘Non-Domestic’ Knives – This is a joke, right? Guys..?

nondomesticknives copy

What exactly makes a ‘non-domestic’ knife more dangerous than a ‘domestic knife’? Surely, there must be some mystical voodoo conjured from the former to warrent the government into stealing our money in order to come up with more useless liberty-stripping bureaucracy.

TheScotsman

HUNTING shops and other outlets selling non-domestic knives have been given 12 months to get a licence under a government crackdown on knife crime.
Window displays of knives will be banned, and retailers will have to keep a record of knives sold and of how they checked the age of the purchaser.

The licences will cover specialist shops that sell items such as hunting knives and machetes but will not apply to stores selling ordinary domestic knives.

Licensing boards will also have the power to set extra conditions to reflect local circumstances.

Councils will start receiving applications by 1 September, with a 1 December deadline, justice secretary Kenny MacAskill announced yesterday.

The system dates back to legislation launched by Labour in the last Scottish Parliament but not enacted until 2007, and a consultation exercise was then held. That exercise resulted in some requirements – such as CCTV cameras outside shops selling knives – being left to councils’ discretion instead of being compulsory, prompting Labour accusations that the scheme was being watered down.

Announcing the timetable, Mr MacAskill said hunting and fishing knives were dangerous weapons in the wrong hands.

“That’s why we’re introducing this licensing scheme to make sure those who sell these knives do so responsibly and comply fully with the law,” he said.

Really, this type of encroaching statism isn’t even remotely suprising anymore. Hell, just get it over with and licence the use of knives. Ban them all together and have legislation drafted up requiring all food be pre cut into bite sized chunks… The quicker you implement your totalitarian dream, the quicker people will realize how essential their cherished liberties were, and take quick steps to reclaim them.

Looking at the mentality displayed in the comments section, I hope you’ll agree that it’s a sad day for humanity when this type of cringtastic tripe is spewed from the mouth of a sovereign man…

They should ban the sale of pointed knives to the general public. The only people who need specialist knives with a pointed end are butchers. Round nosed knives do everything that you legitimately need a knife to do.

*Cringes*

On another note, I recall that not too long ago I was asked to produce proof of age when purchasing a file… Yes, the most henious of all objects, those pesky files, a scorn on our once tranquil society, sent by Satan himself to corrupt the mind’s of our precious young offspring…

Still, at the very least, we can be sure teaspoons have escaped the clutches of these Safety Nazi piles of…. Wait, no, teaspoons are evil as well apparently. Hell, why does the government even bother when private businesses are flying the flag of Safety Nazism on their own accord…

Man jailed for 3 years over ownership of .22 revolver

Here’s something that will make the blood of every self respecting libertarian boil. ‘Injustice’ can’t even begin fathom the level of insanity displayed by this county’s legal system.

Man who kept US pistol is jailed

A man has been jailed for three years after a gun was found among his belongings shipped back from the USA.

This is proof positive that this country is officially insane. In fact, it goes beyond insane and into damn right vile when further incite reveals that the firearm in quetion was used for work related purposes and was mistakenly shipped back from the US.

Norwich Crown Court heard Richardson was given the gun to kill rattlesnakes when he was working in the USA and it was wrongly shipped to the UK in 1997.

The gun was found when the belongings were about to be auctioned by a storage firm after a dispute over payment.

When asked why he had not taken the revolver to the police, Richardson said: “I cannot tell you how many times I have asked that question.

“I suppose I was concerned about what the consequences might be.”

Judge Peter Jacobs said Richardson had “buried his head in the sand”.

In February Richardson was sentenced to five years in jail for the offences.

But the sentence was revoked earlier this month when Judge Jacobs ruled the proper legal process was not followed.

So there you have it, folks. This man’s henious crime was to have safely stored a low caliber revolver, previously used for work related purposes and mistakenly shipped back with his belongings from the US. His punishment for this seemingly trivial technicality? Three Years locked in a cage. This, for something that wouldn’t prevoke the bat of an eyelid in the USA, or to some extent the rest of Europe for that matter. Those involved in passing this sentence and the legislators who created the conditions for this situation to arise should be brought out and subjected to mob justice.

“Jailing him, Recorder Peter Guest said that the tight laws on firearms were as a result of Parliament’s concern about the potential availability of firearms to criminals.

He added: “The law is concerned here with firearms which are lethal weapons. You acquired this weapon legally in the Unites States and I am told it was brought to this country not at you behest, but accidently.

“You realised that this firearm should have been given to the authorities for destruction but you did not do that. It is impossible to fathom why you thought it appropriate to keep this lethal weapon and ammunition in storage.”

He said if a criminal gang had broken into the secure storage depot they might have got their hands on the gun.

The failed argument the Safety Nazis spew in order to justify their disgusting treatment of other human beings, based on activites they disapprove of fails completely on all levels.

“If it had been someone with a criminal mind then it could have taken a different course and that gun and ammunition could have fallen into the wrong hands and be used potentially for lethal purposes,” Mr Guest added.”

Trying to justify this injustice is absolutely futile. Your type, the disgusting, uncompassionate enemy of freedom will feel truely equated to the foul cockroaches you are when the free people of this country take back what’s rightfully their’s.

Police confiscate replica guns from collector

Here’s the situation. Neighbours of a 54 year old man decide to tattletale to the police after seeing what appeared to be firearms on display in his home. Armed police proceed to raid his property and after recovering the supposed ‘firearms’ they turn out to be perfectly legal replica guns, of which the man collects. Instead of returning his posessions and apologizing for the incident, the filthy jackbooted scum decide they want to keep his collection and destroy it, “just in case they get into the wrong hands”.

http://www.times-series.co.uk/news/1773181.replica_guns_seized_from_collector/

Armed police swooped on the flat of a 54-year-old replica pistol collector in Battersea.

They seized 17 replica guns but police admit the man posed no threat to the community.

Wandsworth crime squad Inspector Matt Phelps said police had raided the flat about 10.20am on October 10 after a tip-off from the public.

“This action was taken to pro-actively reduce the threat of firearm incidents in the borough and to prevent any possible tragic consequences should they have made their way into the wrong hands,” Insp Phelps said after the weapons had been handed over.

These exact ‘weapons’ can be brought over the counter or online. I don’t think 17 in the hands of a responsible collector heightens the danger of them “getting into the wrong hands”. Quite the opposite.

“I would like to thank the local residents who had the foresight to bring this collection to our attention, and the owner for his full co-operation.”

You’re a pathetic enemy of freedom.

Police said local residents had raised concerns that the man had a large number of replica firearms and ammunition on display in his home.

It turned out the 54-year-old had been collecting the gun memorabilia over 20 years and had built up an extensive collection.

Specialist CO19 firearms officers found 17 of the guns were exact replicas and could be converted to fire.

The Met said in a statement that “although there was no concern that the owner of the collection posed a threat himself, the firearms that had been identified by officers as susceptible to conversion were retained as a precautionary measure” and will be destroyed.

Cap gun converted

A pipe and a hammer is “susceptible to conversion”. Displayed above is a child’s toy converted to fire a .22 rimfire cartridge. If there’s something to hold a bullet and a means of hitting a primer, you have a firearm.

Now, kindly pay this man back out of your own wages you useless despicable thugs.

Watchdog report labels legal knives ‘illegal flick knives’ – Ebay bans knife sales

Table Bear has a particular liking towards the knife, both for it’s utilitarian underpinnings, and fine engineuity over the centuries. It’s also worth noting that rapists and murderers aren’t too fond of having them stuck in them while revelling in their inhuman passtimes.

Alas, it should not suprise many that a palm to the face ensued after reading that Ebay has decided to impose a blanket ban on the sale of knives through it’s UK site, following a ridiculous show of misinformation dressed up as journalism by BBC Watchdog. Suprisingly, this ban excludes kitchen knives, of which make up almost all of the knives used in murders.

Let’s examine Watchdog’s findings. They found it shocking that from the US, using Ebay they could import two folding knives, one assisted knife, a knife pen and a plastic knife, all claimed to be illegal. It is true that the knife pen could be considered a ‘disguised’ knife and the plastic knife a ‘stealth’ knife, both currently illegal to import and sell in the UK. However, the three folding knives pictured, including the assisted knife are not illegal ‘flick knives’ as Watchdog claim. Infact, they are sold legally in the UK. For a knife to be legally considered a ‘flick knife’ it must meet the definition below:

“A) any knife which has a blade which opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device in or attached to the handle of the knife, sometimes know as a ‘flick knife’ or ‘flick gun’”

Like nearly all lock knives, the ones pictured have protrusions as well as thumb studs, which allow the user to open the blade with one hand. There is no button or device on the handle which opens the blade automatically. The assisted knife uses tension which pushes the blade open once it is moved a few centimetres using the exposed hump at the back. Essesntially you are pushing the blade foward, not a button on the handle.

A flick knife or ‘switchblade’

A legal manual lock knife, one claimed to be a ‘flick knife’ by Watchdog

Watchdog clearly know jack shit about knives, and neither did the police officer they interviewed (Who I might add, found the knives to be ‘awful’..)

But all of this is besides the point. All knives should be legal to sell and carry. The mentality displayed in this cheap, fear mongering, TV licencee funded piece of audiovisual excrement for the consumption of brain-battered zombie sheep is the same mentality sliding this country into a totalitarian Nanny State, where the government can have nuclear weapons, yet you can’t be trusted with a knife.
