Updates on Philip Luty and resulting arrests

Take time to read the below posts from the LPUK blog.

More victims of information-criminalization policy

Relating to the recent arrests of author Philip Luty and his website’s visitors, the accounts of this wave of unhinged thuggery are coming out:

First please read Musket Mike’s article which explains what I was caught up in:

Dear Sir / Madam or Mr.Luty (if you get a chance to answer this yourself),

I’d just like to let you know that I read the article on the link by Musket Mike & I’d like to let you know that I was one of the 50 people who downloaded the book and ended up being raided.

My story has a bit more punch as they did this one day before I was due in operating theatre for open heart surgery. I ended up spending the afternoon before I went under the knife in a stinking police cell, all because they found (in my loft where I was keeping them for storage but they tried to put into my mouth that I was trying to hide them there) a BB gun, 2 legal to have old blank firers that I’ve had for 15 years and an old antique decommissioned rifle that I was keeping for my Dad (made in 1867). I now have had all these items returned, as they are perfectly legal to own and don’t require firearm certificates and subsequently have also had all ‘firearms’ charges dropped.

If you get your site back up, I would love to write up a full account of my experience for you and I’d be delighted if you were to post it on there somewhere.

All the best,

hi new to this site, but just thourt i’d let you know that ive just been raided by the anti terrorist division on tuesday there warrent to enter and search premises for eveidence of an indictable offence:

Firearms, ammunition, component parts and documentation detailing the processes by which to manufatrue firearms and ammunition.Machinary and tooling for the production of weaponry/parts. The documentation will inculude internet manuals and publications relating any such activitys. any other materials used for the production of firearms. Vehicals present at the property that are included in the warrant information.

P.A.Lutys name was mentioned and the document that i downloaded from his website on ammunition was mentioned that i downloaded 4 years ago. These guys came with a moblie laboratory, forensics, detectives, police the lot. they were there at my home for six and a half hours riping the place apart. they confiscated my laptop and two books one by p.a.luty , they wanted a lot more!! but i said no, freedom of speach all the way and i intend to get my books back.I wont lie i s**t my pants even though i have done nothing wrong.
Beware big brother is watching you!!!

People, I can’t stress how serious this situation is. Totalitarianism is literally speeding over the horizon.

It just so happens that this article greeted me when opening up Google just seconds ago:

Police unit set up to combat terrorist websites

What they don’t tell you is that literature on firearms is also considered to be useful to terrorists. Would I be overly speculative if I were to suggest there is probably a lot more that’s going to meet this vague enforcement policy?

Some of you may have heard of the recent arrest of British author P.A Luty, this time under the all so convenient guise of ‘anti-terrorism’, namely “making a record of information likely to be of assistance to terrorists”.

Well, more news has come to light folks – and it’s not good.

A story from England:

At 2.15 pm on 5/20/09 the author of the Expedient Homemade Firearms books, Philip A.Luty was arrested at gunpoint by the British “North East Counter Terrorism Unit” (NECTU). Philip is the well known author of Expedient Homemade Firearms—The 9mm machine gun. [Buy at Amazon.com]

Numerous other books and information on building improvised firearms were available on Philip’s website http://www.thehomegunsmith.com. The website has, I am told, been temporarily closed until security measures can be put in place to prevent British police from tracing and visiting those who downloaded publications from the site. More on this chilling development later. Following Philip Luty’s arrest he was held in a London prison for over nine weeks before obtaining bail. This is the second time Philip has been arrested and questioned by British police over the books he writes and sells via his website. No, Philip Luty is not a terrorist, nor does he have any links to terrorists, but it seems that in the UK today the British police are not just happy with obtaining a ban on most types of legal firearms but also want a ban on any publication that shows how to build a firearm and/or ammunition. Hence the quite unbelievable persecution of those who sell firearms related publications.

As I said earlier this is the second time Philip has been arrested and questioned. In 2005 he was arrested and questioned over his books and website. At that time the British “Crown Prosecution Service” (CPS) took no further action and the case against Philip collapsed. Undeterred by this failure, the police waited another three years and then charged him under the UK Terrorism Act 2000. The wording of the charges is that Philip “MADE A RECORD OF INFORMATION THAT COULD ASSIST TERRORISTS”. No folks, I am not joking. In the UK British police are now trying to create a link between those who commit terrorist acts and those who write gunsmithing publications. Oh yes, I mentioned above a “chilling development”. That is putting it mildly. It turns out that at the same time that Philip was arrested the British police (Gestapo?) paid a visit to over fifty other people across the UK who had downloaded books from Philip’s website.

Reading information is no longer neutral absorption of knowledge – It’s now terrorism. To say the least, this a serious attack on our basic freedoms as human beings. Friends, things are deadly serious and if no one stands up to this, we’re going to continue along this road until we join the ranks of North Korea or China.

I implore everyone to aggressively download all of Phillip’s books. Show these jackbooted, cowardly pieces of putrid trash that you will not be intimidated into bowing down to their tyranny.

Justice in the UK

Posted this over at LPUK.

Couple fleeing attack prosecuted over firearms

After suffering two brutal attacks in their home in Bulgaria, an elderly British couple took it upon themselves to take responsibility for their own means of protection. Whilst still living in Bulgaria, the couple purchased several legal self defense tear gas guns, of which fire cartridges designed to disperse an irritant gas towards an attacker. Since a police officer can’t be carried in a pocket or stored in one’s home, this seems like a viable means of thwarting another attack in future, correct?

Whether they accidently shipped them back in their luggage, or simply saw no further use is uknown. All that’s stated is that upon returning to the UK, the couple decided to hand the devices over to the police.

Now, thanks to a few of this totalitarian government’s recent knee jerk decisions , they both now face a minimum 5 year jail sentence for possession of an illegal ‘firearm’. A great victory for the Met, who whined and begged for this to be implimented.:

Another case, involving a son honoring his terminally ill farther’s decision to end his own life, saw him sentenced to 3 years for transfering a WWII era Walther PPK into the hospital where he lay dying.

When will people catch on and realise that mandatory sentencing is completely and utterly batdropping insane and a bedraggled mockery of the term ‘justice’?.

Now, if only these people could get it into their thick, barnacle encrusted skulls that not everyone who is unlucky enough to be caught in possession a firearm is a psychopathic murderer, deserving of extreme jail sentences.

The Metropolitan Police is alarmed by the number of firearms being carried and used on the streets of London. New figures show that, in the past three months, the number of reported incidents involving guns to which police have sent armed officers has risen by more than a third – to 4,106 – compared with the same period last year.

So, guns are good enough for police to have, but should you dare to own one for frontline, immediate defense of yourself and your loved ones, you’re deserving of five years at minimum locked in a stinking cage with rapists, theives and murders.

If a women in this country pulled a handgun on a rapist in her own home, she’d get a minimum 5 year jail term for possessing a prohibited firearm. Meanwhile, the rapist would most likely be looked upon as a victim and probably awarded free viagra on the NHS.

This government is completely vile.

—— Taking into account the above, get ready for the wacky world of UK justice! ——

Three-and-a-half years for robbing multiple victims at knife point

Six years for smashing a women round the head then proceeding to commit rape

Three years for robbing and threatening to beat a shop owner:

Police confiscate replica guns from collector

Here’s the situation. Neighbours of a 54 year old man decide to tattletale to the police after seeing what appeared to be firearms on display in his home. Armed police proceed to raid his property and after recovering the supposed ‘firearms’ they turn out to be perfectly legal replica guns, of which the man collects. Instead of returning his posessions and apologizing for the incident, the filthy jackbooted scum decide they want to keep his collection and destroy it, “just in case they get into the wrong hands”.

Armed police swooped on the flat of a 54-year-old replica pistol collector in Battersea.

They seized 17 replica guns but police admit the man posed no threat to the community.

Wandsworth crime squad Inspector Matt Phelps said police had raided the flat about 10.20am on October 10 after a tip-off from the public.

“This action was taken to pro-actively reduce the threat of firearm incidents in the borough and to prevent any possible tragic consequences should they have made their way into the wrong hands,” Insp Phelps said after the weapons had been handed over.

These exact ‘weapons’ can be brought over the counter or online. I don’t think 17 in the hands of a responsible collector heightens the danger of them “getting into the wrong hands”. Quite the opposite.

“I would like to thank the local residents who had the foresight to bring this collection to our attention, and the owner for his full co-operation.”

You’re a pathetic enemy of freedom.

Police said local residents had raised concerns that the man had a large number of replica firearms and ammunition on display in his home.

It turned out the 54-year-old had been collecting the gun memorabilia over 20 years and had built up an extensive collection.

Specialist CO19 firearms officers found 17 of the guns were exact replicas and could be converted to fire.

The Met said in a statement that “although there was no concern that the owner of the collection posed a threat himself, the firearms that had been identified by officers as susceptible to conversion were retained as a precautionary measure” and will be destroyed.

Cap gun converted

A pipe and a hammer is “susceptible to conversion”. Displayed above is a child’s toy converted to fire a .22 rimfire cartridge. If there’s something to hold a bullet and a means of hitting a primer, you have a firearm.

Now, kindly pay this man back out of your own wages you useless despicable thugs.
